Gardening

I like gardening. It's good for you and can also be good for the environment and your local ecosystem. I'm mainly working on creating a wildlife garden filled with native plants that is suitable for people and animals, some places more wild than others, with space for growing fruits, vegetables, and herbs (which can be tough with the wildlife thing - ask me how many blackberries I've eaten). Blog posts here are often in a plain old blog-as-in-log form, where I write about things I did, or observations of plants or animals I've seen. Sometimes gardening means planting a native tree, sometimes it means creating a brushpile for wildlife habitat, and sometimes it means eating tomatoes. As of the remapping in 2023, I'm in USDA hardiness zone 7b.
